Features of Chatbox: World Adventures

It's not like we are trying to beat a record or something but we really, really want to give you as much information as possible. Why? What do you mean why? Because it's probably the best Chatbox edition so far and we want to make sure!

Again, to make sure. We are officially releasing the main features of Chatbox:: World Adventures. This almost never happens, so it's an honor reading article, really!  Here it goes, let's hope you won't drool on the keyboard. That's just nasty! 

On the 23th of August, at 7pm, in Joy's Cafe, you better write these things on your smartphones, will hold the 5th edition of the best project ever created by Pro Tineret Vest NGO, and probably one of the greatest social events available in our city, and not because of our awesome giveaways, but the people, joining day by day, forming a creative, open minded, and proactive community. 

Here are the main features of the upcoming hit event:

Create your own Traveler's Guide with the help of our speakers, Cristina Puscas, Adrian Rotar, and the participants around you. Get all the tips and tricks you need to have that perfect Journey Book you've always dreamed about. Complete your To Do list with the latest information about Indie traveling and European programs.

Exchange traveling stories with over 20 participants, check out where's the best place to be, the easiest way to make friends and how much a Pizza cost here and there. Show off pictures and souvenirs from your favorite trips. Share your favorite memories in order to win the "Extreme Galactus Traveler" unique title, offered only once in a lifetime. 

For the first time ever in Pro Tineret Vest and Chatbox history, get the chance to exercise you English with international guests. The whole event will be organized in English. Over two hours of pure foreign conversation. What could be more refreshing than a couple of moments of feeling outside of the country, or even better, what could be more challenging than being outside your comfort zone?

Chatbox Interviews: Cristina Puşcaş

You thought we forgot about our little interview deal, right? Well, no worries, our lab monkeys are always ready and alert for any possible written Q&A. 

With the upcoming hit event, Chatbox: 5th Edition - World Adventure, organized on the 23th of August, at 7pm, in Joy's Cafe, Cristina Puşcaş, our new staff member and speaker, was happy to accept our invitation to let those little fluffy monkey ask her a couple of questions. Hope you'll enjoy it. Thank you Cristina for being part of the staff and helping us creating this project. You're officially rated as AMAZING. ;) 

Norbert Szucs: What's Chatbox for you? 

Cristina Puşcaş: It's the trendiest way to stay informed and get in touch with like-minded people. For me, Chatbox is more than socializing, it's a way to always know what's going on. 

NS: Tell us about your first Chatbox experience. Did you enjoy it? 

CP: I couldn't make myself leave the venue ! Chatbox was interesting, fun and it's been amazing to see how the project evolved. All of us tend to get side-tracked and a lot of new subjects pop out, which makes it a bit harder for the Speaker to keep things in check. 

NS: From guest to Speaker. How do you feel being the main character of the upcoming hit event? 

CP: I'm excited and maybe a bit stressed. Travel has always been my passion. I started in a travel agency, then evolved to being a travel writer for the past 7 years. I am used to speaking in public , so that's not why I am stressed. But Adrian did a wonderful job so far, and I have to live up to the expectation.

I encourage anyone to speak up when their passion or favorite subject is highlighted. Who else is better to lead such events than those who are passionate about what they talk? 

NS: Do you think that World Adventures (Chatbox 5) will be the best event so far? 

CP: I've seen what happens after a very successful event (see Games and then Movies). However, i think that travel is a subject which youngsters love. I am also confident that even those who don't speak English very well will come to share their experiences. 

Those present should expect a world-wide "virtual travel", highlighting favorite places and a lot of practical tips on how to reduce hassle and money spent. 

NS: What about the staff. Could you tell us a little gossip about them? 

CP: Norbi is the dreamer, Adi is the down-to-Earth guy and I'll always link Cosmin to a camera and shooting stuff :) 

NS: Would you like to say something to the upcoming audience?

CP: Keep dreaming, keep traveling, seek to see a new destination each year, try your luck at writing and taking photos. And check out bootsnall.com for ideas, advices and everything else travel-related. Your boots are made for walking!

Chatbox: Around the Subjects

Right after the review of the forth edition of Chatbox we released the subjects for the fifth one, World Adventures. As usual, each edition has 10 subjects announced. Your job is to select 3 of them. Due to those funny titles you've seen on the Chatbox Group on Facebook, many of you don't really understand the concept of each title.

Because I'm a nice guy, I went deep down in our secret laboratory, fought Bob and Anna, our alligators, paid the deadly guardians and, of course, fed the dragon. There's no secret hideout without a dragon... After one ruined pair of jeans, I found the manuscripts of Chatbox: World Adventures. Wuuuh, I sense trouble!

What's in your backpack? 

Get the chance to learn from others what magical items are a must have on any road trip. It could include 7pack undies, soup in a can, or pretty much everything that shines. Tell the group what things you need in order to survive on a vacation. I personally can't leave anywhere without my hair products...

Heart's Sweetest Country & City

You got to have a country and city where you could leave everything you currently have and just blend in and start a new life. For example I could totally live in Italy, no matter where, I could really let myself go, get fat from all the Italian cuisine OR I could have my dream life in New York. Imagine all those great dreams you could tell at the Chatbox table. 

Indie Travie OR Package Babe

What do you prefer? Buy a plane ticket on your own and just get lost in the wilderness, discovering this and that by yourself OR go to a travel agency and buy a package, all included, a tour with defined things to visit, a hotel... I honestly prefer to just close my eyes and pin a location on the map, buy the tickets and just go, the road will unfold by itself. Plus the extra adventure! 

My Ultimate Roadtrip Memory

There's always this one trigger that when somebody says  vacation or "that time in..." you instantly get an image from one of your best trips. Get the chance to show and tell! 

Shocked by Culture

Personally, it's my favorite. I just love trying to blend into other countries, discover the differences, architectures, urban programs, trends, holidays and behaviors. If you had a cultural shock, and I'm sure you had one, it totally changes you, head to toes.

Every time I travel the first thing that comes in my mind is food. This subject is all about your favorite dish and the culture of worldwide cuisine.

Chatbox - Ediția a IV-a: Review

Uite, am mai crescut cu o ediție... Pe 26 Iulie a avut loc cel de-al 4-lea episod, ca să zic așa, din primul sezon de Chatbox din Arad. Emoțiile au fost destul de mari, cel puțin pentru mine. Nu am mai simțit feeling-ul acesta de ceva vreme, e și normal, cu peste 30 de participanți, merită să și leșini! 

Social Media & Networking poate fi ușor definită ca pe o ediție modernă, proaspătă, pregătită pentru publicul larg. Un public deschis către rețelele de socializare, dragoste pentru comunicare, expunere a experiențelor propri sau încurajarea formării de persoane publice și chiar exemple ale comunității.

Ca de obicei, agenda a conținut 3 subiecte magice. Părțile bune și negative a rețelelor de socializare, un fel the shot verbal care, cu ajutorul participanților, au scos în evidență cele mai cunoscute caracteristici. 

Menționez că atunci când mergeți cu un grup în oraș și vreți să faceți un "Check in" ca tot omul, este recomandat să întrebați persoanele respective dacă vor acest lucru. 

Atenție la dependența rețelelor, nu uitați că adevărata viață se află după ecranele full HD (sau telefon!) și nimic nu se compară cu un pahar de vorbe la o masă plină de prieteni adevărați. Mulți menționau de lipsa intimității online însă noi vă spunem că totul depinde de voi, de cât mult vă petreceți timpul pe o rețea socială. Acel buton de "Post" nu-l click-uie mama, ci chiar tu! :)

Legat de cele pozitive, ai ocazia să menții legătura cu zeci sau chiar sute de amici, fie că sunt din județ, țară, continent sau worldwide, baby! 

Pe lângă asta, îți expui experiențele personale, dorințele sau efectiv ceea ce simți, lasând pe cei dragi să te cunoască mai bine. 

Atenție cei care își caută un loc de muncă sau lucrează într-un domeniu corporate. În cazul în care aveți în cerc o persoană din connducerea unei companii sau un coleg de servici, sunt foarte multe șanse ca unele mesaje să fie interpretare greșit. Keep the pool clean! 

Pentru cei care își doresc să devină un exemplu al comunității, adică o persoană publică, am discutat un pic despre ce înseamnă Personal branding, unde fiecare a putut să-și exprime punctul de vedere. Suntem convinși că o bună parte din participanți s-au pus bine pe analiza personală și la activitatea numită 

"rebrandare".  

A fi un exemplu pentru comunitate este un lucru bun, o necesitate pentru țara noastră și nu numai. Avem nevoie de persoane care să ne uimească cu talentele lor, visele împlinite, eșecurile și trăirile de zi cu zi. Ajută, să știți. Educă involuntar individul de lângă tine, aprinde ceva în el sau ea care face să vrea mai mult sau cel puțin ceea ce ai tu sau vrei să ai. 

Și ultimul subiect a fost ceva mai deep, cum rămâi creativ și motivat. Eh, uite așa am descoperit eu Pinterest, și de atunci îmi pin-uiesc chestiuțele pentru my personal bucketlist. Cine vrea un Shaving Cream fight în parcul Europa? 

Cele mai strigate modalități au fost filmele și muzica. Firesc, având în vedere că suntem mega consumatori. Eu sper ca acest articol să vă motiveze un pic în a crea ceva creativ. Treziți artistul din voi și uimiți lumea pentru că toți sunteți perfecți și unici în felul vostru. Hai, la treabă!

Not so fast... Nu există Chatbox fără o tombolă pe cinste. De data aceasta premiul cel mare în valoare de 50 euro, voucher oferit de agenția de voiaj "Royal Travel" (because when we travel, we travel with style!), a fost câștigat de Putnoki Timea. Uhh, și consumația în valoare de 3 carbogazoase a fost câștigată de Petrișor Cosmin. 

Atenție la premile surpriză oferite în cadrul event-ului creat pe Facebook. 

Cum am scris și mai sus, un eveniment de nota 20. Mulțumim partenerilor noștri și tuturor participanților! 

Chatbox revine cu, probabil, cea mai bună ediție, pe data de 23 August, la aceași oră, același local. Vă pup și vă doresc un weekend extraordinar! 

  

Chatbox: Steven Cooper

Before releasing the review for the forth edition of Chatbox (which was an amazing edition, by the way), Social Media & Networking has one more chapter to unfold, actually, the force is quite strong in this one...

We are more than happy to present you Steven Cooper, senior developer at Thinktank Social, coming from down under, Australia. Apparently, Chatbox is reaching more than our county, country or (hello!) continent. Which means that social networks are truly working. While this month's theme is Steven's universe, he wanted to get involved... And how could we refuse an Aussie hand, right?

So after a couple of weeks of teasing you with all sorts of transparent hints, we are finally ready to show you what our newest Chatbox member secretly prepared you, the Chatboxers.
